The **Embassy of Nepal** in New Delhi hosted a magnificent Diwali celebration, uniting diplomats, ambassadors, and distinguished guests from across the globe. The event, held in collaboration with **Lions Club Delhi Veg** and **Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTCI)**, was a vibrant display of cultural exchange, unity, and the shared joy of Diwali, the Festival of Lights.

Held in the heart of India's capital, the celebration welcomed over **27 countries**, with each diplomat and guest experiencing the warmth of Nepali hospitality, deep-rooted traditions, and the spirit of festivity. The embassy was beautifully illuminated with lamps and lanterns, bringing the warmth of Diwali to the distinguished gathering. This Diwali event was not just a celebration of the Hindu festival but also an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties, foster cultural understanding, and promote the spirit of international unity.

**Cultural Immersion and Unity**

The evening’s program began with traditional prayers and lighting of lamps, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. The atmosphere at the **WSCC Secretariat** was filled with radiant joy as over 30 members of the **World Sikh Chamber of Commerce (WSCC)** gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion of **Diwali** and **Bandi Chhor Diwas**. This event was a beautiful reflection of the unity and warmth within the WSCC family, with members coming together to honor two significant festivals that hold deep cultural and spiritual meaning.

**A Celebration of Tradition and Togetherness**

Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated across India and worldwide, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. It is a time for families and communities to come together, decorate their homes with diyas (lamps), and exchange heartfelt wishes. This year’s celebration at the WSCC Secretariat was no different— the space was beautifully adorned with glowing diyas, creating a serene and festive atmosphere. Members were seen lighting lamps, offering prayers, and sharing festive sweets as a symbol of prosperity, peace, and happiness.

In addition to Diwali, the members also observed **Bandi Chhor Diwas**, a day of profound significance for Sikhs. This day marks the release of Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru, from imprisonment. It symbolizes the victory of righteousness and the importance of freedom. This occasion holds a special place in the hearts of Sikhs worldwide, and its commemoration during the WSCC event added a layer of spiritual reflection and gratitude.
